A Brief History of Little Panda Mandarin Preschool (LPMP)
Xiaoping Johnson and her husband David Johnson founded the Durham Chinese School in January 2003, in an old house in Durham. The Durham Chinese School moved into its current location in November, 2007. The school really expanded in numbers of enrolled students and in space from 2007-2010. In 2011, Xiaoping decided to focus on Chinese language and culture education for preschool-age children only. Therefore Durham Chinese School became LPMP. Currently, LPMP has a morning half day preschool for the spring semester and fall semester, and summer camps June to August with morning half day and full day options.
