Little Panda, Mandarin Immersion Preschool:


This Mandarin Chinese learning program is designed for children ages 2.5-5 years-old. Three classes are available: 2.5/3 year olds, 4 year olds, and 5 year olds. Each with its own highly-educated, native Mandarin Chinese speaking instructors with an average 6:1 teacher/student ratio.             

The Main Goals of This Program:

  • Train students to listen to daily Mandarin words and conversation
  • Teach students correct sounds and tones of daily Mandarin words
  • Build student's Mandarin vocabulary
  • Develop an understanding of Chinese culture
  • Obtain a solid foundation in basic preschool skills
  • Provide a healthy environment for students to develop social skills while making friends and having fun.
Mandarin Chinese is spoken to the students 95% of the time and children are encouraged to speak Chinese when possible and as much as possible. All of our teachers are native Mandarin Chinese speakers with advanced degrees.
Mandarin Chinese preschool teacher's guide books are used as references by the teachers to prepare for classes. Activities in the classroom include: drawing, coloring, counting, tracing and recognizing Chinese characters, listening to stories, games, singing and dancing.

8:00-8:40      Early Drop Off

8:40--9:00     Check-in

8:45--9:15     Explore and Free Play

9:15--9:30     Whole School Activity

9:00-10:00   Story time, show and tell, singing and dancing

10:00--10:30  Snack Time (potty break, hand washing, snack time) Practice courtesy expressions & names of foods

10:30--11:00  Big Rooster & Little Frog Groups have Group Lessons. Little Pine Tree, Little White Boat and Little Red Flower groups have Chinese video or free time.

11:00--11:30  Little Pine Tree, Little White Boat and Little Red Flower groups have Group Lessons. Big Rooster and Little Frog groups watch Chinese video or free time.

11:30--12:00  Playground or indoor activity during inclement weather

12:00--12:30   Lunch Time

12:30-1:00     Dismissal or Free Play for extended day students
