Little Panda, Mandarin Immersion Preschool


This Mandarin Chinese learning program is designed for children ages 2-5 years-old. Three classes are available: 2-3 year-old, 4 year-old, and 5 year-old. Each class is taught by a highly-educated, native Mandarin Chinese speaking instructor, with an average 1:6 teacher/student ratio.

The Main Goals of This Program

  • Train students to listen to daily Mandarin words and conversation
  • Teach students correct sounds and tones of daily Mandarin words
  • Build student's Mandarin vocabulary
  • Develop an understanding of Chinese culture
  • Obtain a solid foundation in basic preschool skills
  • Provide a healthy environment for students to develop social skills while making friends and having fun.
Mandarin Chinese is spoken to the students 95% of the time and children are encouraged to speak Chinese when possible and as much as possible. All of our teachers are native Mandarin Chinese speakers with advanced degrees.
Mandarin Chinese preschool teacher's guide books are used as references by the teachers to prepare for classes. Activities in the classroom include: drawing, coloring, counting, tracing and recognizing Chinese characters, listening to stories, games, singing and dancing.

Morning Preschool Daily Schedule

8:00-8:40      Early drop off

8:40-9:00      Check-in

8:45-9:15      Explore and free play

9:15-9:30      Whole school activity (songs, exercise, etc.)

9:30-10:00    Small group activity (show & tell, story time, etc.)

10:00-10:30  Bathroom break, hand washing, snack time

10:30-11:00  Chinese educational videos or free play

11:00-11:30  Small group Mandarin classes

11:30-12:00  Playground or indoor activity during inclement weather

12:00-12:30  Lunch time, practice courtesy expressions & names of foods

12:30           Dismissal

12:30-1:00    Free play

1:00-1:15     Pick up toys

1:15-1:45     Playground or Chinese video

1:45-2:00      Short Mandarin lesson

2:00-3:00      Nap time for young students & quiet activity for older students

3:00–3:30     Snack time

3:30–4:00     Songs, dance, and games

4:00             Dismissal
